Health Insurance For College Students

The tuition arrangements are set up; the dorm room is assigned and your son or daughter is headed off to college in the fall. In all of the confusion of the paperwork, deadlines and financial arrangements did you remember to check on their health insurance?

Many, but not all, insurance companies provide for health insurance for college students under a family policy; do you know for sure that yours does?

With some insurance companies, coverage depends on whether or not the student is a full time student. Review your policy or ask your insurance administrator; if you have an HMO plan, will your student be covered if they go to the student healthcare facility away from home?

Check the age limit as well; you may find that once your son or daughter reaches a certain age they are dropped from the policy no matter what.

Ask your insurance company to provide an extra insurance card for your son or daughter to carry with them; if there is an additional card for prescription medications; make sure they have that too.

This preventative step will help eliminate confusion when they suddenly have to see a doctor.

There are student health care plans that are available through most colleges that are a reasonably priced alternative if your policy excludes your child.

Is not college confusing enough without having to worry about whether your child is covered should he or she need to seek medical attention? Take the time to look into health insurance before they head off to college in the fall.

World of Warcraft Communities

While it seems that other virtual worlds like Second Life are becoming less and less popular, World of Warcraft still continues to be one of the most popular online games among players from all around the world.

Who are those players who participate in one of the most exciting virtual world in the history of the Web? Who compose the magnificent loyal crowd that spends hours and hours playing online?

Since its release in 2004, World of Warcraft became a huge hit. Run an online search about it and you'll find thousands of articles trying to understand and analyze the secrets of the WoW appeal.
One thing that makes World of Warcraft success unique is the fact that it is a global phenomenon and that players from different parts of the world share the same passion for this game. It is not common that virtual games attract fans from all over the world, but now it seems that the World of Warcraft crowd can be found in different continents, different countries and different time zones.

You can find World of Warcraft players in Asia, America, Europe and even Australia and Africa. This game is huge everywhere.

If the common thought is that World of Warcraft users are mainly males that facts prove differently. One distributor of World of Warcraft gold guides told us that he receives orders both from males and females and that some of the most avid WoW gamers are females. It seems that World of Warcraft appeals to both genders equally and that everyone can found his or hers own place in this virtual world.

It is interesting to see how World of Warcraft gamers interact within themselves in all sorts of virtual chat rooms, gold guide WoW forums and other designated Wow forums. These forums are the best way for anthropologists to examine the World of Warcraft crowd. It is interesting to find both young and older players all interact and chat about their favorite game.

It is a fact that World of Warcraft can bridge between age differences, cultures and genders. Maybe it will even bring world peace?

Blogging Is Your Best Marketing Tool

Blogging isn't hard.

People see it as a massive investment of time but it's not really. If you're willing to invest time in a networking meeting then you can invest time in a blog because it's essentially the same thing. Presumably you go along to a networking meeting to meet people and let them know what a fab person you are? Because if they like you then they'll trust you and if they trust you then they'll buy from you, right?

Right. So you talk about your business a bit, perhaps take the opportunity to discuss a new product you're working on and share some funny anecdotes about something or other. Then leave the room with everyone thinking that you're a great person and fun to spend some time with. Mission accomplished.

Blogging for your business is pretty much the same except that the other person doesn't interrupt and you have more time to think up clever and witty things to impress people with. With your blog, you get a chance to put a human face to your business. You only have a few paragraphs on your core website to explain your business but with your blog you have months of posts for people to dip into to get a feel for your company.

What a great opportunity to earn the trust of people you've never even met. They come to your website and there's this great person writing really interesting stuff and sharing insights into this subject that he's a real expert on. Perhaps they'll come back each day or subscribe to your feed to see what you have to say. And if at some point they need to buy whatever you're selling then they're definitely going to come to you instead of your competitor - that really cold faceless business run by robots.

Still not convinced?

Don't be mistaken into thinking that it's not worthwhile if you don't have hundred of avid readers of your blog. If you keep all of your posts on your website then random browsers to your website will have a wealth of information to jump into. You're building their trust using stuff that you've written months ago.

And if they like what they see then they'll come back. And visitors that come back turn into customers eventually. And customers generate repeat business. And referrals. Surely it's starting to make sense now?

No? OK, one last shot.

You're generating a new page for your website every single time you post something. Who likes websites with lots of relevant content that gets updated frequently? Go on, take a guess...

Google will love you if you start blogging. If you write interesting stuff then people will link to it and Google will love you even more. Suddenly your website is more popular than ever and more people are visiting and more people are buying and it's just turning into one great big party with you at the centre of it.

OK, perhaps it won't be quite that dramatic but you must take the long term view when it comes to your approach to blogging. Don't write a couple of entries and then give up. Keep at it, keep producing new content and invest time in it as you would any other marketing activity. When it does all kick off then you'll be glad that you have that wealth of information sitting there for your website visitors to delve into.

Good luck - let me know how you get on and I'll add a comment to your blog!
